A lushly landscaped 200-acre park, Mt. Washington Forever is a
Historic Landmark founded as a not-for-profit cemetery in 1900 by a group of
Kansas City Philanthropists.

Mt.
Washington Bird Mausoleum

The final resting place of some of the Kansas city area's most notable figures,
Mt. Washington has become a cultural landmark, home of some of the most
elaborate private family mausoleums in the state.
In the last few decades, however, the cemetery had fallen into disrepair, with
mounting maintenance costs and depleted perpetual care funds.
After a long search for responsible new operators, the cemetery's governing
board sold the cemetery to Forever Enterprises in 1999. Since becoming part of
the Forever family, the cemetery has been completely refurbished, with new
roads, lush landscaping, inspiring water features, and extensive new
construction.
A stunning new lakeside Chapel Mausoleum now graces the cemetery's central
garden. Constructed entirely of white Georgia Marble, the classical design
blends perfectly with other historical structures found throughout the park.

individuals provide parking assistance to all visitors and family members. As
guests leave a visitation, these families are given a thank you card with a
mint on behalf of the family.

bookmark program features a memorable full color laminated keepsake with the
obituary on the reverse side. Also, prayer cards and/or service folders are
laminated and given to the immediate family.
